Department of Human Services delivering a range of services to the community. Centrelink may be able to offer income support or assistance, depending on your current
circumstances. The payments which young people may be eligible for depend on what they are doing. The website can make it easier for young people to explore their
options, know what questions to ask and find out more about how Centrelink can assist. Or, young people can visit their nearest Customer Service Centre.
School Based Police Officers - All local state high schools
The SBPO assists in improving the overall health and wellbeing of the school community by supporting students at risk of offending or becoming involved in the
juvenile justice system. The School Based Policing Program also encourages school communities to adopt approaches that aid in crime prevention and proactive policing.

The Townsville Community Legal Service offers a Generalist Legal Service for initial legal advice and referral, a Welfare Rights Service for assistance with Centrelink
issues, a Financial Counselling Service for debt and budgeting issues and an Immigration Service. Young people can go and see them about practically any legal issue
except personal injury and conveyancing matters. 'Free Advice Nights' are held on Thursday evenings between 6pm and 7.30pm. Bookings need to be made on the above
number during office hours to access this service.
