Contact House provides a therapeutic counselling and support service to children and young people who have been harmed, or are at risk of harm (sexually, physically, emotionally or through neglect) and their families or carers. The service is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and is fee free. You will need a referral to attend Contact House. Self referrals are accepted, and referrals are also accepted from government and non-government agencies and community organisations.

Beacon Youth Services aim to support and encourage young people in the Townsville region by providing numerous activities and programs to help young people develop social skills and to enhance their moral and ethical ideas. Personal mentoring and homework tutoring for Primary & High School students. Organised recreational activities fully supervised by Christians from our church. Outings organised on an irregular basis (details can be found at Church administration office - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9am - 3pm).

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service assists children and youth (0 - 18 years) and their families with provision of comprehensive assessment and treatment of behavioural, emotional and mental health disorders. They also provide Adolescent Forensic Mental Health Service designed to meet the mental health needs of young people who are involved with the juvenile justice system.

JCU Counsellors are available for appointments by phoning 4781 4711 or by going into the Student Services Centre in person. The Counselling Service is located on the first floor of the Student Services Building, above the Bookshop. A "Drop-in" counselling service is available for students who have not yet seen a JCU Counsellor. This service is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
